SKIN
NEEDLING
is the one-stop anti-ageing skin treatment! It stimulates the production of your collagen to create smoother, healthier skin.
In-conjunction with its incredible anti-ageing benefits it also treats and reduces the appearance of:
-
Acne scarring.
-
Fine lines.
-
Pigmentation.
-
Enlarged pores.
-
Scarring.
-
Uneven skin tone.
-
Stretch marks.
Skin Needling works by using micro needles to create controlled perforations, or ‘micro-channels’ in the skin. This stimulates the healing response of the deeper layers and encourages your skin to create new, collagen-rich tissue.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECOVER FROM SKIN NEEDLING?

The recovery time for skin needling is between 24-72hours, depending on your skin's integrity and the product's you use at home. It’s important to keep in mind a number of aftercare instructions to ensure the best outcome for your skin. These instructions include avoiding exposure to the sun and avoiding heat (heaters, hair dryers), it's imperative you apply a SPF30+ sunscreen daily, using recommended post-care products to soothe and hydrate the skin, and avoiding harsh cleansing products and certain active ingredients for 48-72 hours after your skin needling session, you should also avoid solariums (Obviously!), spray tanning, cosmetic tattooing, excessive exercise, swimming in chlorinated water, and wearing make-up. Shaving should be avoided for the first 48-72hours.
Rest assure, we will always go through aftercare with you post treatment.
Are there side effects of Skin Needling?
The side effects of skin needling can vary depending on the individual’s skin type, the depth of the needles, and the quality of the equipment used. Some common temporary side effects that may subside within 24-48 hours post-treatment include tightness, increased sensitivity, redness that may last up to 72 hours, and flaking of the skin after a week. Skin needling should not be performed if the skin hasn’t been prepped with the appropriate skincare regimen prior and if there are active skin infections or dermatitis/inflammation especially cold sore.

What does Microneedling the scalp feel like?

Your scalp may feel a little irritated or tender after micro/skin needling, and just like skin needling the face, your scalp may experience some redness.
But don't stress, your hair will generally hide any redness.

Aftercare Tip: If you are spending time outdoors, be sure to also take precaution by covering your scalp with a hat to protect it from harmful UV rays whilst it recovers and heals from the microneedling process!
